This is according to Trakus. Track timer basically the same story. That is crazy but might actually be true in this case!

Flintshire looked insanely good to me. Celestine closed in 21.88 previously on the card. Some impressive performances today.

I'm no judge of horseflesh or the beast in motion, but good Lord that horse levels off, drops his head a bit, and reaches out !
Not that violent run like Artie Schiller, who reached out and ran about as hard as I've ever seen a horse run, but he looked like he was really trying hard. Flintshire just does it with such ease of motion.
The race was over in about 4 jumps.

They cut the grass thinner than paint now. 21.88 might turn to be crawling.

Yeah, the turf course was very fast, but I thought Flintshire was just amazing. Visually he looked a whole different species to me through the stretch. ;) It almost made me sad that I don't get to see elite European turf racing live.

I can't imagine why anyone would even get in the gate with him. I mean today was off the layoff. Last year at Saratoga was off the plane.

What does his A game look like? Because it might be terrifying.

Btw... Considering he's a two time Arc runner up behind horses not in training this might be the first time ever the best turf horse in the world might be based in America.

He may be a great horse but Ironicus is a cooler name. There's that.

Do you have anything good to say about any horse that won today? Or are they all stupid, worthless, no good, doddang, freeloading, sob's?

Freeloading horses?
Does that mean they load into the gate by themselves?

That was a somewhat direct quote from a 1980s movie (Breakfast Club) that some of us "young bucks" might get.

I picked Slumber to win, with Flintshire second. When I saw Flintshire getting ready to enter the gate I knew I'd made a mistake. Not only is he strong looking but his nostrils were flaring, his ears were pinned, he had that look. The look of a champion.

In regards to the fast turf course, Flintshire is used to racing over deep courses, today he really got a chance to show how fast he can run when he isn't running in a bog. Of course, he ran a 116 Bris Speed Fig at Saratoga last summer, and no other horse in the race had run anywhere near that.

In the parade he looked like a beast! In the stretch he proved he was.

I don't think he got anywhere near the bottom. He toyed with them.

He drew away with ease in impressive fashion. Wow. More like this, please, speaking as a horse racing fan.

I had a win bet on World Approval at 12-1. It was a great race and Flintshire impressive indeed.

Ironicus was stopped/steadied a couple times at least the last 1/4 mile or he would have had something to say about the winner of the race. But the winner was really good that last quarter.

I thought Flintshire's stretch run was particularly inspiring, and it wasn't the only one on the day. I was elated to see Frosted turn in such a fine race, and Creator really made my day.
