1) In case anyone is wondering how to structure a Quinella bet with 2 Key entries and 4 others (K1-K2 W/ A-B-C-D ) do the following:
K1/K2, K1/A, K1/B, K1/C, K1/D & K2/A, K2/B, K2/C, K2/D =
(9) Bets ($2 denominations or higher).

2) Because many of the Quinellas offer really good value it’s sometime even worthwhile (when the overall odds of the selected entries are reasonably high) to simply play all of the Quinella combinations for all 6 picks: A-B-C-D-E-F
A w/B-C-D-E-F…. B w/C-D-E-F….C w/D-E-F….D w/E-F…..E w/F =
(15) Bets ($2 denominations or higher).

Either of these same structures above can be used with the Quinella/Place bet which means:
1a) If either Key finishes 1st , 2nd , or 3rd and any of others finish in-the-money with them you can potentially win 1 or all 3 Q/P bets or,
2a) If any of the (15) Quinellas chosen are used in the Quinella/Place bet you can also potentially win 1 or all 3 Q/P bets.


3) Structuring a Triple is a bit more expensive, but if the value is there then try the following with (K1-K2 W/ A-B-C-D ):
K1 / K2-A-B-C-D / K2-A-B-C-D = 20 Bets w/K1 as the Winner
K2-A-B-C-D / K1 / K2-A-B-C-D = 20 Bets w/K1 as the Placer
K2-A-B-C-D / K2-A-B-C-D / K1 = 20 Bets w/K1 in for Show (use only if value is there)
If you repeat this structure with K2 for Win & Place with the others it’ll be 80 Bets, but there’s potential to hit the Triple 2X if both are in the money.

Race 3 :4: Love Shock (8-5) Was bet down to 3-1 in his debut, acted up in the gate, Broke well, raced handily on rail, bustled to close from 450m, soon driven to challenge, some greenness, kept on well but no match for winner who raced on the lead by himself.

Race 1:

Seems to set up for a closer. :1: :3: :11: seem like the best closers. Pending good paddock manners and appearance, I am going with :1:. It is his second race in grade 4, and he had an excuse in his last race. (his first dropping down to grade 4).

I am a little interested in:2: also dropping to grade 4 and coming off a layoff. His races on AWT last fall were good enough to win this, and has excellent record on AWT.

Race 1 Class 4 1200 Metres AWT

:1: Lansbury (5-1) Ran a descent 5th in his last against better, was close to the leader at the 100 metre mark but just tired out after being away for a year. Gets a nice draw from the barrier and catches a real weak field for a class 4 race.

:3: I'm The Won For You (9-2) A need to lead type that has been getting away slowly from the gate, closed well last out which is rare for him at huge odds.

Really ugly race, putting a few dollars on the :2: Malayan Pearl (10-1) and :5: Island Flyer (22-1) just for entertainment purposes now that the bug boy beat me in my double plays. This is when Moreira wins by 5 lengths.

Race 3 Class 4 1200 Metres

Have a couple watch horses in this one, actually the only 2 on the card.
:4: Love Shock (8-5) was heavily bet in his debut, then acted up in the gate, chased the favourite winner while racing on his right lead the entire race, main concern is the turn. Size runners usually improve in their second career races.

:3: Circuit King (4-1) a need to lead type got away slowly and was forced wide the entire trip, total throw out. Has a BAD habit of running second, playing that he does it again.

:4: Unique Joyous (8-5) Had a little trouble early then raced rank and still won for fun, draws the rail. Something would have to go wrong for him not to be there at the wire.

:1: Rouge Et Blanc (22-1) not totally clear why he's so long? Did have to get to his bottom last out to get by the favourite, 2 runners have come out of that race and won the next time out, unlucky at the draw. Love the price though.

Looked like he had a chance when he didn't have to use too much of him to get over into the turn, but spit the bit at the 200 metre mark. Last effort probably took too much out of him, may need a break.

:4:. Blinkers on last time and ran a fast 1200m race. Last two sectionals very fast: 22:46 and 22:80.

Can't seem to get a grasp on this race, could make a cause for at least 6 to 7 horses in this race. :1: had a horrible start then got no pace help, but is trained by a 3%, :2: impressive race in last but the 14 hole and 8lbs., :3:need to lead type with Moreira but doesn't like to win. :4: beat a favourite who doesn't want to win races in his last. both :7: :8: serious trouble as did the :10: but can't bet that rider to stay in the bed of a pick up truck.

In any case, ALL of my clues are derived through a very sophisticated tote analysis. As an Outsider playing an Insider's game, I put my faith in following the money, especially when playing races halfway around the world.
