cool way to manipulate the win pool money is anybody wanted to.

pretty sure they will allow him to cancel the bet up until close to post time...that's the only way i would even consider making a bet that large.

also that it was so brazen and not hidden in anyway makes it mean even less imo.

Your pretty sure vs. my pretty sure that they won't let him, what odds will you give me?

Also, pretty misogynist of us to assume it's a man. Hard to bring new money into the game if we prescribe a gender to gambling.

That's funny! :D

Apparently they had a suitcase full of cash. In Baltimore lingo he might have a "suit case" against the Jockey Club if they don't let him cancel. LOL lets see if anyone gets that... :D

Well the TVG "experts" said absolutely he'll be able to cancel,so that probably means he can't Lol

As of 2:30 he was your even money favorite. If Nyquist stays 9-5 I might actually bet him.

Where can you find current pool?

Still the favorite at 6/5

Won't, IMO, work.
$$ "tricked" into Stradivari
= more $$ towards
higher Nyquist odds...?

Exception: more big $$ towards Stradivari = inside $$...

I wonder if people will start loading him into the exotics, just because he's somebody's favorite; could be a real disconnect between the win pool and the other payouts.

What do you want to wager that this was a teller at Laurel that did this.

Funny for the six people who get the reference.

I'm really tempted by :11: Stradivarius.
Johnny Valasquez as the jockey is nothing to sneeze at.
The same with Todd fletcher as the trainer.
You can't help thinking that Stradavarius will be heavily out classed by some of this group.
But depending on odds, Stradivarius could be valuable in exotics.

What do you folks think?

All of the rules have been broken so many times...it's hard to believe that he could be ready for these more seasoned horses, but, I've always believed that the best horse can overcome just about anything. If he is the best horse, he can win, even with the big step up in class and the fact that he only has a few starts under him. If he's the next Seattle Slew, he'll win.

Oops, at 8/1 and a 3rd out of 11 ranking, no more exotic value with :11:

he/she pulled itWhat exactly are you talking about...how the heck would you know? There is over 800,000 bet to win on Stradivari, so I have no idea how anyone would know whether or not the bet was pulled...

Let's see from someone who has been tracking the pools and can show it dropped by 80,000 or so at some point.

This is weird.
With 29 mins to post there was 569k bet to show on Nyquist. 697k bet to show on Exaggerator....Next flash, each entrant say about a $5k REDUCTION in their respective show pools...
