Always a delightful read, Tim Rice’s annual installment of his Derby analysis, is available:

http://www.innisfree.org/

This year’s analysis includes quotes from Anne Bronte, Pierre Simon-Marquis de Laplace, and an in depth look at the careers of Holy Bull and his trainer, Jimmy Croll. Check it out!

How has this guy done in the past?:
No better or worse than most; as a breeder himself (of polo ponies), he tends to be focused on that angle. He picked Orb, and had Giacomo as his longshot.

Awesome! Thanks! I am a HUGE fan of The Bull! Saw him run multiple times! I have a Holy Bull picture on my wall. I also wrote a commentary article on Holy Bull after his full heart effort in the Travers (in the Daily Racing Form--David Liftin ignored the Bull in favor of the Cat--got me all fired up!).

He mentions more than once that Dixie Union won the Belmont......don't believe that is true.
