I noticed that Nyquist went six furlongs in 1:11 1/5 according to the Daily Racing Form past performances of the Florida Derby.

According to the Brisnet past performances he went six furlongs of the Fla Derby in 1:11 2/5. Therefore his final 3/8 was closer to 37 3/5 rather than 37 4/5 as per the daily racing form.

The result chart shows the difference. In the chart it shows Nyquist going six furlongs in 1:11 and 39/100 which is rounded up to 1:11 and 40/100 which becomes 1:11 2/5.

The racing form does not round up and will keep any decimal less than .40 all the way down to .20 as being 1/5 of a second.

A perfect example of why the industry should publish data in metrics, not fractions.
