It looks like another value packed day at Sha Tin with 10 big Turf races and nice size fields in every one.

Post Time Race #1 – 1:00 AM SUN. EST

If you can't view the races try listening on the HK Jockey Club radio: (Click on English)

GL if you’re playing & feel free to join in !

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In case anyone is wondering how to structure a Quinella bet with 2 Key entries and 4 others (K1-K2 W/ A-B-C-D ) do the following:
K1/K2, K1/A, K1/B, K1/C, K1/D & K2/A, K2/B, K2/C, K2/D =
(9) total Bets ($2 denominations or higher)

This same structure can be used with the Quinella/Place bet which means if either Key finishes 1st , 2nd , or 3rd and any of others finish in-the-money (1st, 2nd or 3rd) with them you can potentially hit on (3) Q/P bets. They generally don't pay as much unless a big LS shows up in the money.

Structuring a Triple is a bit more expensive, but if the value is there then try the following with (K1-K2 W/ A-B-C-D ):
K1 / K2-A-B-C-D / K2-A-B-C-D = 20 Bets w/K1 as the Winner
K2-A-B-C-D / K1 / K2-A-B-C-D = 20 Bets w/K1 as the Placer
K2-A-B-C-D / K2-A-B-C-D / K1 = 20 Bets w/K1 in for Show (use only if value is there)
If you repeat this same structure with K2 for Win & Place with the others it’ll be 80 total Bets, but there’s potential to hit the Triple 2X if both K's are in the money.

Good Luck!

Weather report: 77 degrees Thunderstorms 100% wind: ssw 7mph.
Post time: 12am ET 9am PT Rail: A Course, track listed: Good

Vulnerable favourites:
Race 1 :1: Amazing Always (3-1) Trained by 3% winner and adding 29 lbs. since last race.
Race 3 :4: Regency Darling (7-2) Breaking from barrier 13 going 1200 metres.

Horses coming out of key races (multiple winners that have come back out of those races and won at or higher class than today's class).
Race 2 :11: Real Supreme (12-1) The winner, 3rd and 10th place runners have come back and won.
Race 3 :1: Circuit King (9-2) The 3rd and 5th place runners.
Race 6 Both :9: Electronic Phoenix (11-1) and :14: Good For You (14-1) exit race 493, the same race Real Supreme in race 2 ran in.

If the rains continue and the track is downgraded to yielding, horses that have proven to run well on a yielding or soft track:
Race 2 :3: Graceful Kingdom (31-1) and :11: Real Supreme (12-1)
Race 8 :4: Design On Rome (4-1), :10: Werther (5-1) and :11: Horse Of Fortune (30-1)
Race 10 :5: Berlini (12-1) and :6: Goodheart Success (54-1)

Horses off my watch list:
Race 2 :5: Penny Lane (7-1) In the early and middle stages failed to muster speed despite being aggressively ridden and consequently travelled back in the field. Near the 200M was taken out and clipped heels
Race 3 :5: Richcity Fortune (7-1) Pushed to occupy the box seat, harmed by the slightly fast tempo, blocked early straight, found the line only fairly when clear 200M. (he’s not a fan of a yielding track)
Race 7 :3: People’s Knight (5-2) Pushed forward early to be well place behind the early leader, on the rail. Restrained off heels at 800m, and was checked off heels at the top of the straight. Never clear at any stage on the run home and never tested.
Race 7 :11: Super Fluke (12-1) Eased forward early to sit midfield, 1 off the fence. Awkwardly placed on heels at 800m, and slightly steadied. Had clear running in the straight, and went to the line strongly, but unable to close in on the winner.
Race 9 :8: Beauty Prince (7-1) Rolled forward from an outside draw to lead on settling. Harassed by another around turn, kicked ahead on straightening, run down close to line.

Longshots for the day:
Race 1 :6: Medic Swordsman (14-1)
Race 4 :1: Fantastic Feeling (18-1)
Race 6 :6: Energetic Class (24-1)
Race 7 :11: Super Fluke (12-1)
Race 9 :3: Solar Hei Hei (19-1)
Race 10 :4: Dynamism (28-1)

My Key Plays:
Race 2 :5: Penny Lane (7-1)
Race 6 :2: Team Sweet (4-1)
Race 9 :1: General Patch (7-1)

Another very nice write up Woody! You've certainly done your homework.

I'll be keeping an eye out on your comments as the morning progresses.

Now its time to make some money.

Good Luck to you sir. Tough card, have always found big days like today a little harder than normal. Should be fun though.

Race 1 Going to try and beat the favourite in here, Class 5 race. :1: Amazing Always has a horrible trainer, every card has a couple runners that are short to medium prices and they very seldom get their pictures taken.

Going to play a longshot, :6: Medic Swordsman (14-1) just missed last out while encountering a slight trouble early on, then blocked in the stretch and beaten by a rival who had a much easier trip and a serious weight allowance.

You’re right Woody those Class 5 races are always wide open events.

Race 2 One of my key plays is running here, :5: Penny Lane (7-1) encountered a lot of trouble in the stretch, now gets the 10lb. weight allowance. Playing quite a few horses with him.
