there is quite the grey area between midpack and closer. obv some horses will be mid pack, but i can't help to think most like to be near the rear, rather then closer up.

brody is no plodder. that was a very fast extended middle move that he made in the BG. this is a pretty classy horse

Do you subscribe to TFUS? If not, understand that Cj has, for many years, had a definition for each of these running styles listed. Plodder is in no way a derogatory term. It has nothing to do with the horse's class. ;)

You guys are lucky, he's good to you.

I would've never told this, I would've made you buy it!

Cha ching, cha ching.

The derby winner will come from Cj's tracker group IMO.

With only two pacesetters, this is not a recipe for a pace meltdown, according to handicapping 101.

With the huge field, more jocks will try to start quicker, to avoid being 15 wide on the first turn, which always makes the pace faster.

15 trainers will tell their jocks to "sit just off the pace." Easier said than done.

this is true.

shagaf and exaggerator should be up closer...not to mention somebody else trying something different. at least early on, if they're in the slightest bit capable

With about 10 midpack/trackers I would look to the best 3 or 4 late pace among these and when post positions are drawn, rearrange them accordingly.

CJ I just made an account at Timeform. Are the free PP's from previous days available? I couldn't find a link. So I'm clear $3.00 for one track or $5.99 for all tracks for a single day?

Here's the free Derby PPs: https://timeformus.com/basicpps/163437/1533470

There's two free races everyday from the home page.

Single cards are $3, entire day's worth of cards $5.99.

098poi - don't know where you hail from but make sure you check out all the info. Here in NJ with NJBets/TVG if you make at least a $2 bet you will get your money refunded the next day from any track you downloaded from the handicapping store. This is for each track but you have to do them separately, not as a package. Also, I see they always have special offers for "new members" and for those who use mobile apps.

Thanks for the update. I live in Mass and use Twinspires. The $6 for a day seems like a good deal to me.
