We had trouble with it by some trainers (won't name names) when we opened the tracks in Oklahoma and Texas years ago. Somebody would put down a large bet early on and then 3 minutes to post the money disappeared off the tote.

Since we are playing Lone Star, tell you guys a short LS story. We had a jock on the Texas circuit by the name of Ted Gondron, he was all right as a jock won a lot of races. Always was fighting with Corey Lanerie and Ricky Fraiser for the jock titles. Well, he met this girl who was always around the track with her family. They started dating and before a Lone Star meet they got married, soon after the beginning of the meet Ted was on a horse at the rear of the pack on a grass race. A horse ridden by Eddie Martin clipped heals and went down, Ted had nowhere to go and fell over the fallen horse. Went straight down, hands first. Broke both wrist and forearms, so he's casted up with his arms straight out. The first thing I thought when I saw Ted come to the track was, 'I really hope his wife loves you', cause she's going to have to perform certain cleaning rituals and if you knew her that's not what she likes to do.

One of the reasons I didn't care too much for working at the tracks in Texas was night racing, it's 10.30 and on the 8th race. Very hard on the body when you have to be back at the track at 5am.
