I have been thinking about a plan that would allow me to make bets. from home. I have a brother that lives in Minn. and could get a phone in my name and use his address and leave it a his home. Then put the phone on call forwarding so I could call that phone and make my bets If that won't work does anyone have a plan that does?:bang:

Just use an off-shore book.
Texas doesn't deserve the revenue.

I would think that if you just used his address it would work.

Find an ADW that allows Texas members (but not Texas bets), and asks for your present location prior to logging in. Select a state close to yours that allows online betting and state that as your present location. At least one US based ADW, that I know of, doesn't care where your computer is sitting, they just want you to state where you are presently located. I suspect they think that present location selection will cover their butts should something happen.

This has been working for me for quite a while now, with absolutely no problems with deposits or withdrawals.

I live in NC. And as you all know, unless you're playing the State lottery or going to the Indian Casino in Cherokee, "they ain't no gamblin aloud here in these parts"...
So I did some research. It seems that most ADW's track IP addresses. So if your computer or mobile device ( the ping in this case) is in a state where betting is not legal, you are out of luck.
Of course there is the Virtual Private Network( VPN) software that allows the ISP addy to be masked.
ADW's are extremely careful not to violate any state or federal laws. The last thing they want is some over zealous politically motivated State Att'y General firing off a subpoena and showing up with search warrants for everything including the coffee pot.
I bet off shore. I hate it. I'd much rather have my money in the pools instead of with a bookie
