Want to run for President? Not happy that one of the major parties treated you poorly?
It might be too late if you wait until after the conventions.
When the Republican convention ends, the deadline to get on the ballot in 12 states totaling 175 electoral votes will already have passed. Those include likely battleground states Florida and and North Carolina.
Many more close within days following the convention and the door is shut on anything but a write in campaign 4 weeks later.
I'm not sure when the minor parties (Libertarian, Reform, etc.) select their nominees but they are not on all 50 state ballots either.
Hopefully, you have thought all of this through and are moving now to preserve your options. You know, the same way your campaign has organized and prepared for a contested convention.
Good luck.
