There is new book coming out about the horse Zippy Chippy who most of you know had a record of 0 wins and 100 losses before he was banned from racing.

He wasn't banned from racing, they just didn't want to come to Hastings....

Or a race track in Kansas.

He did race at the Northampton Fair several times, losing one race by a photo to a horse I believe whose name was Black Rifle. Black Rifle went on to win another race later that meet.

Somewhere I think I still have my Zippy Chippy t-shirt, and my wife want to buy me this new book for my birthday!

Long live The Zippster!

An interesting story. Even though still a maiden, problem got quite a bit in purse money.

He was OK at Northampton, there were literally a dozen horses at that fair he could have dusted...but I am fairly certain there were mixed feelings of whether winning was in his (his owner, specifically) best interest.

The race he nearly took involved a horse blowing the first turn in a @5f dash, taking several innocent victims along with him, letting him open up along the rail, only to get nailed late.

Earlier in his career he was banned for repeatedly blowing the start at Finger Lakes, a problem that really did not affect him later.

Go 0 for 100 at the windows and you'll appreciate winning a little more.
