Race 1 – A surface like yesterday’s could help #2 SUITA MUSIC last this time over likely favorite #5 (PP6) LUV ON THE ROX. #1 GOLDSPRINGSETERNAL showed dramatic improvement in first trip for new barn; very tough to earn n2l condition off maiden win.
Race 2 – #3 ABI ALBON takes a surprising (or suspicious) plunge into claiming company. Team Pappada sends #5 BEAR LINFINI; the barn has won with five of its last eight starters. Potential speed duel earns #9 ELUSIVE WEEKEND deserves a look winging on the outside.
Race 3 – Lightly raced #2 FOREST MIST has done little wrong at MVR; checkout the new jock in town Carson Sullivan. #3 DOUBLY DISTINCT schooled several of these last time. Back class failed #5 MYAKKA PRINCE but he gets off the rail and loses the hood today; 29% trainer Mark Hubley sends both #2 and #5.
Race 4 – #8 LUCKYSDREAM and #3 SAMBUCCA STEVE have turned in the two fastest raw timings here at this distance this season. #5 FIFTY SHADES rolled past DOUBLY DISTINT (running in today’s third race) last time; returns to the claiming pool here.
Race 5 – #3 AVGOLEMONO has been running with tough company. #10 WAYWARD SAILOR brings solid credentials from out of town; fitness is a question.
Race 6 – Interesting rematch leans toward #5 SPIRIT AMOUR who tightened himself going two turns since facing #9 SHIROTA and #10 TENSAS TOUGH in speed duel. What to do with suddenly hot Moyers/Hollingsworth duo? Their #2 NUESHTY looks like a stopper despite the drop but speed kept running yesterday.
Race 7 - Sullivan claim back #8 WHISKEY RUNNER outran his odds last time with an even trip at this level; could pop here. #12 RICHARD’S TUNE will test everybody’s speed and his own stamina; that effort versus EVENING CONCERTO is a positive.
Race 8 –#2 (PP1) STARSHIP VENETIAN probably came to town in the same trailer as the Tampa Bay shipper that put Bart Baird in the winner’s circle yesterday; lowest lifetime tag.
