I saw an interview with that gem Wasserman-Shultz talking about the Democratic primaries. She says she is happy Bernie Sanders is doing so well with the younger voters because he is 'bringing out more political activists'. Is that what the country needs?

She also said a short while back that essentially the Democratic Party Super Delegates were established to insure that the younger voters (she called them grassroots) didn't take control of the nomination process away from the party regulars.

So the Dem position is that they need more "activists" to have their say and then shut up, do what they are told, and vote Democratic.

That didn't work out real well for Hubert Humphrey. The activists sat on their hands during the General & I think a lot of true Sanders supporters will do the same. :)

That's not what the GOP needs - that's for sure.

Less is always preferable to the all-inclusive GOP. :p

The activists all sat on bunks in a Chicago jail during the General. It don't pay to mess with the Machine.

They are spreading their wings - no longer is Chicago the radical activist hub of the country.

Not just there.

The Black Lives Matter group doesn't mind protesting anywhere, even Bernie rally's.

An amazing group considering they arouse during greatest black president of all time tenure. He has done so much to bring everyone in the country together.

I think we're talking apple & oranges here.
The Black Lives Matter people & younger Sanders supporters may both be activists.

It's normal for a young person to desire a somewhat Utopian candidate like Sanders. There is a saying

“If a man is not a socialist by the time he is 20, he has no heart. If he is not a conservative by the time he is 40, he has no brain.”

I would make a distinction from this group and the Black Lives Matter people. About this group, it's best if I refrain from making a comment.
