So Oaklawn runs 5 races at 1 1/16th on Rebel day, 3 stakes, an allowance & a MSW, and every winning time falls within the same 3/5th's of a second. Pace scenarios seem fair all around as well, so can we expect to see very similar figures (Beyer, timeform, etc) from all the victors? I think they should all pretty much fall in line, don't think it'll flatter the older stake winners, perhaps some will point to the strength of Cupid's win that he went faster than the likes of Upstart & Untapable, which is a feather in his cap, but I'm thinking it's more of a reflection on the mediocrity of the older runners' efforts. Would guess a 94 beyer for a 1:44?
Thinking there may be a few new shooters in the Arkansas Derby who will need to be respected between Unbridled Outlaw (2nd in the 3+ allowance) & American Pioneer (winner of the MSW).
