How bout you go and Google bankruptcy laws and read about it. But then again you don't really get two shits about it... just trying to kick up a little dust. But due to the shifting winds it just got in your eye.

The first bankruptcy involved the Trump Taj Mahal. That was the only one that came close to really hurting him personally in a financial sense.
I was reading an issue of New York Magazine that had an in depth analysis of the operation, along with lots of photos. The casino was very lavish and spared no expense. I think for some reason they even had an elephant. The article listed the expenses of the operation and they were pretty high. I took my 10 key calculator, added the numbers and came up with what their daily nut would be.
This was right after Labor Day and the DRF had a listing of each tracks handle for Labor Day. I added the handles and then multiplied by .05. I took a guess that the casino could average a 5% profit on each dollar bet. If my figures were right, and if the Taj Mahal took in all the money that was bet on Labor Day for the nation every day, they could maybe break even. This was a tall order and seemed a poor business plan.
Ironically as this was going to be the only legal casino east of Nevada, they could have opened up in an abandoned warehouse and made money. Allegedly there was a single craps table on Mott street in NYC that handled $100,000 a night. Made no sense.

But is that really the case? You know, people and companies can file for bankruptcy and actually pay all their debts off. From the article I posted, it lists Trump giving 50% ownership here, selling an airline there, selling a yaht over there, all paying down the debt. I don't see anything about all the companies or people he stiffed. Do you have that information?

when i was in the the car leasing business and i was taking a credit application, i used to ask the customer have you had more than 2 bankruptcies? and did you have more than 3 repo's? i would get a truthful answer, the guy would say hell no, i have only had 1 bankruptcy or 2 repo's. i knew i had a dead deal right then and there without having to run the credit.
