This is a total disgrace. An illegal Mexican shoots dead four people in Kansas City and one just west of St. Louis. He was deported in 2004 and since then he has encountered police THREE times and was never brought before immigration officials. It is amazing that when a citizen gets pulled over and has an outstanding speeding ticket or something the police have that information on hand but when an illegal gets in trouble the police have no clue who he is. He was arrested and they still didn't even know he should not have been in this country. Illegal immigration must be stopped no matter how much it costs.

Thinking what would have happened if he had done this at a black Lives matter rally.

In much of the country, you can call the INS several times, give them the person's name, address, employer & even suspected criminal acts and there is a complete lack of response. Unless the person is a mid Eastern terrorist, there doesn't much interest.
This guy was an illegal alien and arrested 3 times for illegal gun possession. It begs the question of why he wasn't deported on the first gun charge? He was out of jail 2 days and went into a Black neighborhood & shot a young man who was by all accounts a model citizen.

This is what would happen to one of us if we were caught with a pocket knife in his country

BTW if you missed tonight's Democratic debate, each candidate pledged not to deport anyone.

There is often more to the story, and in this case there is. Jamiel Shaw was mainly cast as a model citizen by his father. In reality, he was a known member of the Rollin' 20s Bloods. He was confronted by Pedro Espinoza in Bloods territory where they had words that ultimately resulted in Espinoza shooting Shaw. While the Spiderman backpack Shaw was wearing figured prominently in the trial, he was also wearing Blood colors, including a red belt with gang graffiti written on it, sneakers and a shirt. Pictures were also posted on his MySpace page that showed his gang affiliation. Some of those pictures have come out publicly. That evidence was suppressed at the trial at the insistence of the prosecutors, who were being pushed hard by Shaw's father. In fact, the original prosecutor was removed from the case at the insistence of Shaw's father because she was preparing a prosecution as a gang-related killing. Shaw's father, like many parents might do, refused to believe his son was who he actually was, instead spending as much time as he could publicly pushing the idea of his son as a good boy who was an innocent victim. Shaw's father had one thing driving him - ensuring Espinoza got the death penalty - and that may not have happened if it was a spat between gang members.

Espinoza was no saint, and in the end his punishment may have been fair. I'm not sure where the three cases of illegal gun possession came from. He had an extensive juvenile record, but only one conviction as an adult where he had an argument with someone at a park while armed.

Since 2008 1500 people have been the victims of homicide in the City of Los Angeles. Only one was murdered by an illegal alien.

I believe at the Democratic debate Sanders and Hillary were asked if they would deport children that came here from Central America. Both said they wouldn't, and Hillary added she wouldn't deport their parents either. But it's hyperbole to say they said they wouldn't deport anybody. More illegals have been deported under Obama than any other president. Regardless of what some may want to believe, deportations would not end under any of the candidates.

Most Democrats and Republicans agree that the border needs to be secured. There might not be consensus about a wall, but there is consensus about proper border security. If there is disagreement it is about what to do with the people already here, and sooner or later the Congress will have to consider comprehensive immigration reform. My point is that whatever you believe the solution is to immigrants streaming in, or living here undocumented, it is important to argue for it with facts and unmanipulated statistics, not inciting emotion or hyperbole. Whatever side you are on, unless you can convince people with the truth, you don't deserve to win.

I'm going to assume your 100% right about Shaw. If Espinoza was deported upon his 1st arrest as a juvenile, the shooting wouldn't have happened.

No argument here.
