I don't know how many of you have followed this but is it possible to have a sex scandal when sex didn't take place? And why is this an issue in the first place? I'm curious to hear the liberals take on this one and why we absolutely HAD to have the divorce documents made public.

My view is, this guy is not really a republican. Republicans don't have sex unless it is dark and missionary position only. :D :D :D

Republicans always seem so frustrated and disgusted with the state of things, that I always assumed it was because of a bad sex life. It heartens me in a peculiar way to see one with a healthy interest in the old in and out, just like it does when we hear the morally upright Cheney drop the f word in public.

From bettheoverlay
the morally upright Cheney
Isn't this what we call an oxymoron? Yup just checked the dictionary, it is in fact an oxymoron.

They're talking about this story about a GOP candidate.

Personally, its another one of those nonsense sex stories the media and the religious right loves. I don't hold anything against the guy for having a strong libido...and he had a helluva nice looking wife.

You are aware that he asked her to perform these sex acts in a public "sex club" right?

I think what a man and his wife do sexually is up to them, provided they both agree and it does not include forcing others to do things against their will. The catholic church used to say anything was alright providing ejaculation was in the vagina! Maybe they still do?
You righty's must be suffering again. This is the second note today asking or suggesting I vacate the board. :p

The reporter who broke the story may get a sore arm from patting himself on the back. Unbelievable he wants to take credit for "breaking" a story most of us didn't want the details on:

That is the point Numb Nuts! she didn't want to do it. He pressed her and it was a big part of her ending their marriage.

Now I guess you are going to tell me that if the husband and wife agree you are for public sex?

Doesn't hurt to ask now does it?
Come on gentlemen . . .
It was his wife he was asking.
Maybe there's a marriage handbook I'm not familiar with?

Mcshell..........he didn't resign. He was runnning for office in a primary. She says he tried to get her to do this more than a few times from what I read. I do think it is an over reaction, but the fact that this came out caused those who were backing the guy to ask him to drop out of the race. The party has standards, he said he didn't want to drop out, but they forced him to. They didn't care whether he did it or not. They felt it unseemly (http://www.m-w.com/cgi-bin/dictionary?unseemly) and decided to move to another candidate. This is the exact opposite of what the Dems did with Clinton. It shows the different schools of thought between the two parties. Whether warranted or not..........there is a difference.............

I think her credibility should be questioned. After seeing more specifics, it was HER that was having an affair and she probably blew this out of proportion to deflect attention away from her affair. And she stood to gain tremendously from the divorce....according to the records she received $20 million in Goldman Sachs stock.

JR,

Your use of the term, Numb Nuts, took me back to my days in Columbus. Do you suppose it originated there? <g>
