Atypique: makes first start as a 4 year old; had 12 works in 2014 then resurfaced over a year later resume workout starting 11/30/2015. I guess they turned horse out for a year for unknown reason; works on the slow side.

Stablemate Award It runs in Saturday's 05MAR16 4th SA, same day as above.

Strong leaders extended workouts:
http://www.equibase.com/profiles/workouts.cfm?refno=9286469&registry=T

He spent the month of December 2015 at Pegasus training and rehab center in Redmond Washington State. Wonder what happened up there? Since it shows him as a gelding, maybe this is where it was done...

Unlike the other blueblood Atypique here, who is still a colt and has great pedigree with Gaint's Causeway Dam Sire and Dam being Halfcause.

I believe that farm in Redmond is owned by Dedimenico, one of 'Dorf's bigger owners.

I'll put my pick out there right now.

#3 True Image

Trouble throughout the stretch last time. Once he was able to stretch his legs, he was full of run. Film Freak, the winner of that race, was dead ready to win that race. If True Image would have had a better trip, it looks like he may have given him a run for his money.

Only time I bet FTS is when there is no reason to bet any of the established runners. All the established runners must have apparent negatives before I'll consider the FTS. Having said that, these two could mean business.

Tizzing (NA 2)
Own: E-racingcom Or LyonB.

g. 4 (Mar) BESOCT 2015 $25k
Sire : Tiznow (Cee's Tizzy) $60,000
Dam: Meteor Miracle (Twining)
Brdr: Wertheimer Et Frere (KY)
Trnr: Koriner Brian J (16 1-6-1 6%)s

This horse is really in shape! They have carefully prepared this one....one to keep your eye on and use now and later! Koriner overdue for win after 6 places.

Tizzing must have been in some kind of dispersal sale. 3YO being sold at auction in October?

What is a dispersal sale?

ultracapper

Owners getting out of the game. Farms going bankrupt. Kind of like a liquidation sale.

Not much to be excited about in this race. If I had to pick one, I'd stick with the winning trainer from yesterday and go with the :10: Ketos.

I believe that farm in Redmond is owned by Dedimenico, one of 'Dorf's bigger owners.

Pascy Dedimonico, the old man, founded Rice a Roni, had a lot of horses at Longacres back in the day. Added 'a Roni' to the end of their names.

Tizzing was owned by the same people that own the Mandella FTS in this race. Race is a headscratcher for me and I'm no betting it.

I would key the 8 horse. Use him with 2 3 4, the 9 10 on longer exotics.

I don't think that this is a race that I would get real eager to play but if I had to, I might take a mighty swing with :11: Elegant Street.

Isolating only the couple of good races in the five race career, he's been pretty decent. Has shown enough early speed that from the outside, he should be right there or not far behind if some of the other speed inside of him sends hard. The glaring problem with this style for him has been that he just seems to lack finish. But, I'm almost ready to talk myself into thinking that he probably wasn't all that tight in those races (debut, first couple back off layoff) and now he's coming in off of a bad route race in his third back from the rest.

Probably not good enough and doubt that I'd sink real money on him unless he was just a giant price off the 15-1 M/L, but unless one of the FTS is something great, this doesn't seem like the worst race to take a leap with a bit of a bomb that has a few things to like.

hear this is the last downhill for a while.

going to toss the fts for the win although prat is always a threat when you leave off your ticket lol, tossing the 10 with talamo who will probably come back to beat me. with a singleton #6 in the 5th will play a small pk5 ticket.

#3 True Image has a nice even race breaking from the outside , gets better post with a jock upgrade, only beaten 1/2 length with prat up 2 back. could get a good trip.

#8 Heat looks like he could be involved late 3rd start off layoff outside post will help

#9 Tizzing first start for koriner 1st start after being gelded, been down the hill 2 times now gets outside post been off for long time koriner is good getting them ready.

I will go with the :10: Ketos, Ist time turf Stormy Atlantic, shows some speed , if its not him I think its :8: Heat.

I love the :9: ; off the long layoff; gelded; ran two good hill races from inside posts and now draws out. trainer knows what to do going down the hill
the bug jock is a concern but I think the price compensates nicely.

should be running late for all the marbles.

The 7 and 9 seem like interesting longshots that can get a piece of the tri or super. Too tough, I'll be passing.

Haven't checked SoCal......but at this time--up here, there's a freakin monsoon of biblical proportions---by OUR standards, anyway.

:4: Atypique is interesting.

Mandella generally doesn't win with first time starters, but he's had some live runners down the hill, especially with Prat up.

He also trained this one's sibling, a first out winner down the hill last January with Prat aboard at about 9-1. (Oops...correction, not a sibling, but a very close relative).

Yep. He sat in the same place every day up in the club house. Not a very attractive man, for what it's worth. Lot's of younger ladies were always around however.

:4: was a FTS and I didn't handicap for that so I will take a consolation exacta, and the win. I think ultracapper singled it.

teh .50 pk5 with the free bingo square race 5 #6 returned 543.40 not bad for a pk4 esp since we had the easy winner in race 1

That's the way it is with women--they don't care so much about what's in a man's heart---it's his back-pocket they're most concerned with.

The Rice-a-Roni man is proof of that :D

Sixth consecutive race our thread has been productive!

Ultracapper had the True Image the winner, Atypique the place horse was spotlighted and Tizzing was much discussed and liked, ran a good third at 26-1.

Very hit able exotics:

$1 Exacta $24.70 3-4
$1 Superfecta $2,647.90 3-4-9-10
$1 Trifecta $378.90 3-4-9

WOW!

I did well, pick a horse expecting to see some speed and gets dragged back to second last right out of the gate. :D

Was on your horse as well as I do think he shows some flashes of talent. No clue what happened at the start today but if that was a rider decision to abruptly stop it made no sense.

He actually ran a bit in the stretch.
