If Trump ends up becoming President for the first time in my life I will have a picture of the President and First Lady hanging on the wall in my bedroom. A jacket or sweater will conveniently block out the image of the President.

Looking at the current state of affairs,
the GOP is in a worse predicament than
it was 4 years ago. Hard to believe.

Sure, most Trump supporters could care less.
However, he has found much dissent within the party.

It's good to be a Democrat in 2016.

She didn't break any laws.
Nothing to defend, except a few frivolous allegations.

Conservatives would have all liberals thrown in jail - if they could.

It comes up nearly every 4 years.
All you have to do is consider the alternative.

Even a candidate you're not in love with
comes across as The Messiah.

Trump won Arkansas and Vermont, while Cruz won Alaska, and Rubio won Minnesota.

the most important result was the volume. the republican primary's were up almost 25% compared to 2008, while the democratic volume was down and that was with a very dynamic candidate in Sanders running.

on super tuesday in 2008 the democrats got 8 million votes while the republicans got 5 million, in 2016 the results have flip-flopped.

Hillary's worst nightmare.....Trump wins the presidency.....appoints Chris Christie as his Attorney General. Christie decides to do something Eric Holder won't.... make it his life's work to investigate Hillary's handling of her e-mails while Secretry of State. The thoroughness of this investigation would make Bridgegate look like a joke.

If you want the e-mail thing to go away once and for all Hillary, ya better win :)

The other thing I want Trump to do is assign Cruz the responsibility to select the individual(s) Trump will nominate to the Supreme Court.

That might not be too far fetched a wish, forced89.

Plus, we especially need something like this to happen if Trump is seriously looking to his sister or Lawrence Tribe, heaven forbid, for that spot. Both are horrible.

Maybe, in a mega political 'deal' Trump could promise to nominate Cruz to the Supreme Court if he drops out and supports him before the GOP convention.

There is no correlation between primary turnout and turnout in the general election. 2008 was a great year for Democratic turnout in both the primary and general elections. But Democratic primary turnout that year didn't break the record set in 1972.

In 1972, there were a lot of enthusiastic voters during a competetive nomination fight pitting an insurgent candidate (George McGovern) against the establishment. Lacking any broad support across the Democratic coalition, he was wiped out in the general election where overall Democratic turnout was depressed.

I think that is the analog you need to look at.

That would be a great start! We could have them all arrested for wholesale abuse of the laws of logic and natural law, especially law of mind.

When they can get finished with the e mail stuff and Benghazi maybe they can look into the 'mysterious' deaths of dozens of people associated with the clintons

It should be SAFER to know such high powered people, not less.

there was more than a distinct correlation in 2008.

But there was none in 1972, a year the Democratic coalition tore itself apart in a bitter nomination fight.

Which does this year look more like?

Even though you didn't ask me, to answer your question.... the 1964 GOP convention in San Francisco was quite bitter and acrimonious where the liberal eastern cabal of Nelson Rockefeller, George Romney, William Scranton, under the guidance of the grandest GOP pooh-bah at the time, Thomas Dewey, all turned their backs on the great Barry Goldwater.

I don't disagree at all with this. 64 is an analog. 72 is another. 2008 is not. That was the point I was trying to make with Lambo.
