Last winter the first floor men's room at Parx was as comfortable as a Minnesota ice fishing outhouse. Anything taking more than about a minute induced risk of frostbite, in places you DON'T want it. The track reopened on Saturday for the 2016 season and I'm glad to report that the problem has been fixed. Fixed the same way the Eagles fixed the Chip Kelly problem by hiring Doug Pederson - they installed a one million BTU space heater and it's like a sauna in there now, so hot that in a few minutes one would have trouble breathing. In its current state, it now may be even more hazardous than the 30% takeout in trifectas. I also ran across some choice new racetrack graffiti: "Keep betting dope, you haven't hit anything good since 1992".

Just wondering, Jeff Platt, would HANA consider including a measure of a track's "facilities" in its annual track ratings?

temperature may actually be the least of your concerns.

i can't find the post, but i believe i read before on 2+2 that a guy once saw a janitor at parx wipe off a toilet seat with the same mop he'd just used on the floor.

No complaints about the cleanliness, it was fine in the track. The casino is in a separate building and I've never set a foot in there. One form of degeneracy is enough for me. I hope that what you described about the casino restroom is no longer true. Could we call it a royal flush?

Parx did put a lot of money into the track and the facility itself can you name any other tracks that have done that recently? Go take a look at the backstretch and then comeback here and post.

Is this really thread worthy? Sorry, I don't see it.
