Ramblings aren’t always wagers.

Race 1 – FYI: The 10Feb match between five of these was the slowest of 254 six furlong races run at MVR this season; knee deep mud in a snow storm. That said the winner that afternoon was a well backed Wesley Ward first time starter giving #6 (PP7) ROBERT’S UNBRIDLED some street cred; he finished evenly with BAREFOOT GYPSY as that race fell apart.

Race 3 – #4 A UNIQUE LADY cuts back after defeating open company for the Tim Burke barn; back class indicates that she might be OK against these. It’s a juicy field for this condition. They all have a shot.

Race 7 – #8 PLAYING WITH FIRE should be winging on the outside with a clear view of the early action in this abbreviated sprint; this is his preferred distance.

Race 6. #4 Astro J. 1st time gelding makes 2016 debut. He won at 1st asking last Summer at T-Down. Over-matched in the Cleveland Gold Cup Stakes. Fired a bullet work here on Feb. 20th. Ready to blast off!
#8 River's Image. Broke his maiden easily last race. He looks to be putting it all together now. He struggled with getting out of the starting gate in his two previous races.

Race 8. #11 Senor Juan. Ships in from Turfway. Never took to the poly there. Lots of back class facing Indiana Breds in allowance races at Indiana Downs last year. Not much in here, so I think he mows then down late with ease.
