Nice, a thread that I'm assuming is for anything goes!

I was really jazzed to see the M/L for the 6th at TuP drop an 8-1 on :6: Bourbon Pride. Of course, it may have been a bit of wishful thinking as he opened around 2-1, but has been steadily climbing and at 7-2 with 5 MTP.

Probably should have played some pick bets landing here with a single to try to ensure some value but was holding out hope that I might get that 8-1 and the value wouldn't require much effort.

Ordinarily I'd probably love this one at anything like 7-2, but have to admit his usual running style of falling off the pace worries me on this track that has seemed tough to make up much ground on. That said, he isn't incapable of laying somewhat closer if asked a bit, but still want to get 9-2 or something to have to overcome the few knocks on him.

Fox calls the front-running duel a "suicide battle" just as it looks like they're going to stop, but alas, not on this track. Good second for Bourbon Pride at 5-1 all things considered.

Last race at TuP is being played like only two horses have any chance at all - and while I do like both (one is riding a two race win streak against n2L and n3L stepping up to face n4L/nw1y the other just a hard trying old knocker that has been in tougher conditions), I really didn't feel like that there was all that much separation between most of these including the two favorites.

Going 5/8 with a bunch of speed, I'm looking to take a small shot in some exotic pools tossing the two faves out and keying off of a trio.

The first is :5: Grant. I don't know, maybe he's just cooked, but his last is almost too bad for me to believe. This is/was a pretty fast horse and just almost have to believe that mission number one here is to drive for the lead at all costs. I'm not sold that he can get there easily in this spot, but if he does then he's going to break some hearts and his is going to swell.

The others are :4: Rio de Dinero and :7: Decantered. Both can rally into a fast pace and pick up checks, even in these short sprints. Both are really good prices up around 20-1.
I have to take a shot in what looks like it could be something of a chaos type race, so leaning towards a simple exacta box of the three, with a secondary key of Decantered with the other two. Maybe a little fifty cent tri action in the same mold.
