He's still young enough to ride. Maybe someday he will get the itch and come back.

Was this an answer or just your need to post in every thread?

He had a lot of problems with substance abuse, maybe he still does, he was a great rider.

My enhusiasm for the horse racing topics here has been rekindled. Welcome back.

Of course.
Are you the same one who would accept handicapping challenges?
If so, then welcome back and I always enjoyed your comments. Based on your response to SRU, you're still in form.

I realized that was your intention. Last few years he's been an easier target for a lot of members but so far he still displays a good sense of humor in those situations.

Wasn't he going through a divorce also when he was last riding regularly?

Thanks guys.
Back to Gomez, this article sheds a little light on why he finally hung it up for good again. All the talent in the world and the best finisher I've seen since Pincay

No doubt he was the best of his generation. His father, Louie, rode the New Mexico circuit for many years. Used to see Garrett racing about the second-level Turf Club at The Downs at Santa Fe when he was a kid. Made his parents proud. I wish him the best of luck in future endeavors.
