Winning?

Seriously, anybody who can cross that finish line needs to be applauded.

Winning while making significant (for him) wagers. When betting far below his means, the horseplayer often appears to be a lot more "creative" than he really is.

Breaking even.
Or close to it.

I take it you mean in addition to a +roi, otherwise you can cross the finish line with the fav.

40% winning (top selection only) at an average mutuel of 2/1 or more. Seems easy - not many can do it in the long run.

Chris Longshot and Racetrack Playa and Dartman51. How cool would it be to start an operation that revolves around these 3. 👌🏽👌🏽💡💡💡💡💡💵💵💵💵💵💵💵💵💵💵💵💵💵💵💵💵💵

I do not understand. (Might be humor that was lost on me.)

Those happy meals sure fill the stomach daily, while waiting for those steak dinners, which might not show up for a week or two......Looks like feast or famine to me.

Anyone that can do it does not need a day job.

Who is Chris Longshot?

He's the reason I joined. He's one of the most astute and humble handicappers I've encountered. Some of the plays he hits are beyond ridiculous. 😳😳😳😳💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰🔌🔌🔌

Who is Chris Longshot?

Gotta go to the selection discussions. Like the guy above said, he gets on a roll, man, he can pile it up.

Amazing?

Any player that makes long term profit from racing, regardless of the degree. How many can say that, truthfully?

I might add that, anyone who makes more long term profit than I do amazes me, because that takes inherent traits that I don't possess.

I don't know about amazing, but anyone who shows a profit most years has my respect. There's always going to be those who say "Yeah, he did it with one big hit, what's his win percentage" or "Yeah, he wins a lot but they're all $8 horses, where are the longshots" but if you're in the black at the end of the year most years, you're better than 98 percent of your competition.
