The movement to separate rate racing from slot gaming revenue has moved from Iowa (where two tracks have closed for good but the slots remain) to Florida.

Moving through the legislature in Florida and per Gov. Scott's liking, the bill is moving forward to permit casino's to divest themselves of racing if they so chose.

Is this the end to slot-fueled racing?

would level off. and I always knew the Racinos would eventually dump racing. They probably cringe at supporting the purses.

Yes, another state, West Virginia is now considering separation of the racing from the slots.

Now if WVa closes their tracks, PA will be soon to follow. If not for their getting the slots, PA would have never asked for them from our legislature.

First it was Iowa, then Fla and now Wva. Who is going to screw the horse and puppy players next?
