According to Governor John Bel Edwards LSU football may be in danger if taxes aren't increased to cover the budget gap. Clearly Edwards did not graduate college with a degree in economics or common sense. Would cutting a program that nets roughly $50 million per year make sense in any budget deficit scenario?

Won't happen, LSU is one of the few football programs in the country that is self-sufficient. It receives no money from the state. He knows there would be recall before his head the pillow that night if he would. It would be the shortest tenure since Pope John Paul I.

Correct, Woodbine. Besides, LSU and all the rest of the SEC are killing it with tv contracts. Too say any of the schools aren't doing "ok" are preposterous.

Edit--along the same lines, Governor Bevin is trying to put a stop on the funding for our new baseball stadium and a couple other facility upgrades other than what's going on with the football stadium and complexes.
