For your super Bowl spread tonight?

I've got sausage/hot pepper pizza, hot wings, and some boneless ribs.
And Molsen ICE, of course. Enough for OT.

This will be my most low key Super Bowl Sunday in the past 20 years. Had knee surgery on Friday. I am on a low keto (carb) diet. My son wants to make some wings, so I will be his consultant on that. Otherwise, Diet Coke to drink and may get the kids a pizza. Pretty lame this year :(

My wife and I just got back from an early dinner of prime rib. So for the game it is just snacks and Michelob Ultra for us.

Please lay off the diet soda. Much better to drink regular soda.

Went heavier today, it's a holiday!! A bit of Crown and water while doing the sauteing, slicing, layering, putting together, etc. ;)

A spinach salad with tomato, cucumber, and bacon bits, drizzled with raspberry Vinaigrette.

Chicken Au Gratin--main. Sliced red potatoes, sliced yellow onion in alternate layers. Topped with chicken breasts sprinkled with garlic and thyme, browned and sauteed in virgin olive oil. A white sauce with extra sharp imported cheddar is added for richness, and poured to just cover the chicken. Lid on...in the oven at 350 degrees, center rack.

Delicious, it should be ready shortly. Good comfort food as there's been rain and sleet today.

... No bread. No dessert.

Grits, EXACTLY what I was going to fix, but I changed my mind at the last minute and just threw in one of those rising crust pizza deluxes.

My man..

Low keyed SB, so I just invited my dad over to hang out. Made my crockpot pizza with rigatoni noodles for the "crust" and layered with homemade sauce, pepperoni, Italian sausage, mushroom, banana peppers, and plenty of mozzarella. Let it mesh together real good, serve with some garlic bread, garden salad, plenty of cold bud light..salud!

Thanks. Mike. No surprise it's a big hit during tailgate season, too. Layer it like you would a pizza--with your favorite toppings--and the crock pot does the rest. Even better the next day if there's any left... ;)
