Ramblings aren't always wagers. Very tepid selections from out of town.

Race 1 - #1 AVGOLEMONO has continued to post decent figs against better as he dips down in class; finally dipping to n1y it's put up or shut up time -

Race 2 - #8 (PP9) FLASH A SMILE has been at the top of her game at MVR; returns to her best distance today -

Race 3 - #7 MISSION CRITICAL local connections with a shot to upset if invaders chose to fry each other early -

Race 4 - #4 DRAW NIGH snatched by Larry Reed out of a tough open claimer; returns to Ohio-breed company; keeps Sammy Bermudez in the saddle -

Race 5 - #8 CONTEAU D'ORO appears on the upswing and is fresher than his classier foes today -

Race 6 - #8 COLONIAL BANNER still learning; may profit from cutback -

Race 7 - #7 SMOOTH ARRIVAL given a breather in the stretch last time may have some energy left in the tank for "need the lead" match up; wide open race -

Race 8 - #8 PETUNIA BE CAREFUL has won off of a freshening before; likes today's distance -

Spot plays for MVRC 1-16-16:

Race 3: #4 Leroi's Thrill: Certainly thrilled the crowd on Dec 15th with an outstanding win. He destroyed MSW's and put up a big fig. He tries winners today. Anything close to his last race and he moves onward and upward.
#7 Mission Critical: He broke his maiden against $7.5 claimers and has been stuck in NW2L allowances since. He did make a nice run in his only start here, making up ground late after stuck on the rail early.
#2 Myakka Prince: He broke his maiden on the turf at Ellis this Summer. Looked to have a nice future sprinting on the grass, but connections ran him twice on the dirt in the Fall at Keeneland then Churchill. The Churchill race was poor. He was taken off Lasix for that one and is not on Lasix today. On the positive side, he does have 4 works on Keenelands' Poly training track since.

Race 7: #3 Bloody Smart: Claimed by Sullivan last out. He's winning almost 40% with runners 1st off the claim. He stays at the same level as his Dec 12th race. That one was better than looked, as he rushed up on the dreaded rail then faded.
#11 Lumineuse: Gets a good outside draw today. Can eyeball other speedsters just to his inside. Loses Paucar to legitimate contender #7 Smooth Arrival. Low percentage connections means a better price.
#1 Spittin' Feathers: Has yet to hit the board at MVR so far for a struggling barn. He does have an underrated jock aboard and there is so much speed in here that he can make a late run to pick up a minor award.

Bonus Coverage: Turfway Park Race 7: #5 Tribal Custom: The nations winning-est horse in 2015 looks to begin 2016 where she left off. Above mentioned young trainer Elliot Sullivan has her and Chella who won 10 races in 2015 making hay. Keep an eye on this guy. I see bigger and better things for him in the next few years.

Good Luck

RR

Elliot is a nice guy; very easy to root for as his training career gets rolling.
