That was something else! Seven Furlongs in 1:21.5 with about an 11.5 last furlong off a six month layoff. (8th at GP today)

This was horse was looking to be about 6/5 in the Queens Plate off the second to Carpe Diem. It appears he might not like synthetic.

I know there's not a lot of older horses to get fired up about but he could be something.

If not someone can always bump this thread when he's racing in a $5K claimer. :)

No he doesn't do as well on poly as he does on dirt.

Appears to be the case. This horse and Unbridled Juan for Brian Lynch looked like the horses to beat in the Queens Plate and then they both shipped North from Florida and neither handled the synthetic.

I'm curious what Josie Carroll does with this horse considering she's Woodbine based.

Woodbine is switching to Tapeta so she might try him on that, don't know if there is much difference from Tapeta and Poly

What stake races might line up for Ami during the winter?

He had previously run well on the Woodbine poly, so maybe the last two poor efforts were just him being off form. The fact he was off for a long time after could back this up also.
