Cowherd talking about how Lebron used to be a villain and now he's not, he says the nba needs a villain. He said NFL has villains Belichick, Brady, Sherman, Hardy, etc.
Rivalries and villians get people to the TV. Conflict gets ratings.
Ratings much higher when Lebron was in Miami.
Who are some of sports histories greatest villians.
John Rocker comes to mind. :D

A lot of people consider Russell Westbrook, Chris Paul, and Blake Griffin (and the Clippers in general) villains.

John McEnroe
Howard Cosell (not an athlete, but played the villian at times)
Pete Rose (if he wasn't on your team, you hated him - see All Star game and spikes first in 1973 playoffs against Mets)
Villains of past:
Jimmy Connors
Pete Rose
Jack Tatum
Conrad Dobler
Kurt Rambis
Bill Lambier
How do leave out Bulldog Brower?

I could totally see CP3 and Blake and of course Deandre (ESP in Dallas) villians. I didnt realize RW was viewed that way.

Blasphemy..:D
It'll be 32 years this March, but I still hate the Georgetown Hoyas.
Randall is spot on, though...Bobby Knight can go to hell.

Fans of other teams really, really seem to hate Russell. I think he tries to hard for their liking.

I have to admit I wish he wouldn't try as hard, but if I'm thinking a guy is a villain because he out works my favorite team or players, I gotta take a long hard look at myself, that's a 'me problem'. Luckily I don't dislike RW so I'm not in that category.

Juan Marichal: The bat to Rosboro's head was when I was still young enough to be shocked by human behavior. It sealed my hatred for all San Francisco sports teams.
Mike Tyson: You should not talk about making an opponents kids orphans. And you really should not ever ever ever try to eat even small portions of those opponents.
Terrell Owens: There are probably worse examples of athletes suffering from narcissistic personality disorder but he came into prominence on the 49er's and as noted earlier, San Francisco is the center of all sports evil.
Lance Armstrong: Although he isn't personally responsible for the culture of cheating in his sport, he was not just at the center of it but activity pushed out teammates who wouldn't and abandoned those caught before him. He has no honor.
Tonya Harding: If you can't win fairly: disable those who can, make bad porn, and live large on the far left end of the bell curve. That's a lesson I want to teach my kids.

You're thinking about the '85 Finals here in Rupp. 'Nova vs Gtown, but a very impressive performance turned in that night by the other Wildcats. ;)
I was talking about the '84 semi-final in the Kingdome. UK vs Georgetown, Cats up at the half, and then proceed to shoot 3 for 33 the rest of the way losing to the eventual champs. It still haunts me.
