Awesome Speed won the Mucho Macho Man in good time: 1:35 4/5. He has Buckpasser in the X passing position and his broodmare sire is Aptitude who ran second in the Derby of 2000. Could be a good one.

His trainer said he is not sure if he is good enough to run with the best 3 year olds. Time will tell, he sure has the pedigree.

No shortage of dosage points on that one. Decent fractions but only gaining 3/4th of a length on the inferior 4-wide place horse during final quarter doesn't inspire confidence stretching out in graded company. It's early yet however and these 3 year old horses can improve in short order.
