Just heard that the Meadows will be lowering the retention rate of Trifecta wagers down to twenty percent.
Back in 2010, they raised that 29 percent retention rate to 35 percent (the highest permitted by PA statute) then last year lowered it to 27%. Now it seems that betting trifecta wagers in PA is not so bad an idea.
I commend today's Meadows Management whom I have criticized in the past years for their usury taxation rates (retention) on the trifecta pools.
Add to that, they will be racing on Saturdays and on Holidays, something I had complained about for as long as they have cut the weekend & holiday racing cards.
