Just saw the 1975 episode of the ODD COUPLE Felix the horseplayer. Oscar started receiving inside information from an exercise rider ( too small to be a jockey) ha ha Oscar started to win and Felix joined the betting.

Interesting scenes at Belmont Park with the $100 windows and the scene at the end showing the race from Belmont with the Aqueduct starting gate figures only horseplayers like us pick up these split seconds goofs ha ha The scenes at the OTB was funny also as Oscar had to bring his radio for the race call

If I remember correctly, the best is when Felix kept tipping the waiter to make that pop sound. And when he convinced Oscar to keep going and they set aside 5 bucks for socks, or something like that.

Some funny scenes in the episode especially in the restaurant. For me the scenes at Belmont Park was the best part of the show including Oscar and Felix's reactions to the winning bets. By the way the track program was 25 cents at the time . ha ha

You have to watch the one where they are playing roulette and Felix puts the ball in his mouth. He said something like "I knew the wheel was rigged, the ball tasted funny".

It was the one where they had casino night to raise money for his opera club and he was getting wiped out so he put the ball in his mouth to stop the guy who was hot. The guy playing said "Well then we will use your eye".

9GY-s9jQw3c1975 was a bad year for me. Welcome back Kotter came out that year and my Mom didn't like it. We only had 1 tv so I missed out on some of the inside jokes some of the kids at school were saying. Well at least I got to watch Happy Days.
