Race 5 - #4 CONFRONTATIONAL closed well after a very wide trip 25Nov. Elliot Sullivan (60% dropping off wins) sends #10 GIVEITMYBESTSHOT -

Race 6 - Wide post, early speed and back class point to #10 MOUNT DIABLO. #8 WON FAST BULLET has been routing against better but can win short; steps up on off tracks -

Race 7 - #9 REAL LUCK might get first jump and not look back taking class drop. #12 DENALI HOLY BULL went fast and easy last time at today's distance. #5 ALL Q'D UP can be competitive at a price -

Race 8 - Consistent puncher with outside leverage #11 ROLLOVER BELLA gets slight lean over Sullivan's #6 WHAT OUTA WHO possibly on the recovery list from her all out effort vs. top local filly CHELLA -

Spot plays for MVRC 12-23:

Race 5: #12 Number One Choice. 3 year old filly comes back in a week and moves into NW3L even tho eligible for NW2L. Gets outside post again. Should be a nice price. #7 Not Simply Simon. Dismissed at almost 40-1 in her return to the races after off 10 months, she hung in there against a really fast filly Ten Cent Hat. #4 Confrontational. She's made two excitng runs from far off the pace in both tries at MVR.

Race 6: #1A Ontheedgeofglory. Note the other Faulkner scratched and he gets post 12. Also drops from open 8K to 4K NW3Y. #8 Won Fast Bullet. Back sprinting against conditioned claimers after being place in some odd Starter Allowance races. #5 Distinctive Move. Exits many live open 5K races. Dropped to this level last time and ran a nice 2nd.

Thanks. I didn't see anything unusual about the ride. The problem was that I put the wrong horse on my ticket. The winner was my top pick in the 8th race.

Yep. Merry Christmas - looking forward to some Postman spot plays for healthy holiday eating. Don't suspect that I'll enter the new year healthier or wealthier - heavier looks like a sure thing.
