While most of the racing world's attention will be on Santa Anita's opening day on Saturday, if you don't take a look at Laurel's card that day, you're doing yourself a disservice:

*There's 109 entries in nine races. That's an average of 12.1 horses PER RACE.
*Five stakes races, including twelve-horse fields in the Jennings Handicap (race 8) and the Thirty Eight Go Go Stakes (race 9).
*More than $90,000 is up for grabs in the rainbow 6, with the pool almost guaranteed to pass the $100,000 mark.

If you like great racing, there is absolutely no reason to not play Laurel Saturday. It's a tremendous card through and through.

How wet do you think it will be? I'm in Jersey and it is very damp, ground is saturated, I would expect off tracks at LRL and AQU.

I live about 25 min from laurel, and it rained like hell this evening. Id expect a muddy track at best. Great card either way, as is sundays card. Its been a long time coming, but MD racing is back.

I'm a fan of Laurel as a track to play, I love how the surface there plays for how I like to handicap. It's fair, you can come from the back and wide there, no crazy biases that ruin races. GL to all those playing there.

In reading the comments in the footnotes and seeing the comment lines it appears some of your selections had some pretty poor trips.
I will be able to watch the replays tomorrow and if I see what the notes say, be adding some of these to my virtual stable on Equibase.
