Yes it was a bad beat but Calculator walked out of the gate and still won.

Yes they did. Hoping they match up against each other a few more times this spring.

This Baffert looked good, but I think Calculator will separate himself from this guy. That horse looks kind of special to me.

Calculator put him away running 5 wide into the turn.
Then his stamina and the extra effort from Calculator after the slow break saw Fusaichi Samurai bid again in the stretch.
Maybe Fusaichi Samurai will relish a bit more ground than 7 furlongs.

The slow break benefited Caculator, imo Fusaichi Samrai did all the work.It was Fusaichi Samurai's second start ill take him moving forward.

Breaking slowly might benefit a horse if the pace was very fast, it probably would have been in the mix, and the horse makes a late run to pick up exhausted horses. Calculator made what could be considered a somewhat premature very wide move right into the heat of the race after breaking slowly.

Seems like Baffert horses have lost a step this year, these types never used to get caught out on the lead. Perhaps he's bored with no AP in the barn?
Not sure why there was any hype to be honest, he's already 4 and hasn't run particularly fast. He obviously had issues.
Another loss at short odds today. He ran ok but not sure the upside is there.

Your 100% correct i was wrong.More sizzle then steak.

I wasn't knocking you at all, don't take it that way. Just sometimes these horses get better and go on to big things, sometimes they don't. I wouldn't mind owning him!
