I don't have a handle on Prado's history of injuries.
One thing I do know - he's no spring chicken.

Breaking from the outside post in the 7 1/2-furlong maiden turf sprint, Legs Like Betty bolted to the outside fence and dumped the 48-year-old Prado before jumping the temporary outer rail onto the main track, according to track reports. After getting up, the 2-year-old filly ran to the top of the stretch before being caught by outriders.

Poor Prado. I broke four ribs in a motorcycle accident, and it ain't no fun. They told me it would take six weeks for them to heal, and it was more like six months before they stopped hurting.

Hopefully none of his wise-cracking buddies stops by to cheer him up. Laughing is not desired.

I had a cracked rib once and if was very painful. I can't imagine what 6 broken ones feel like.
