I'm surprised he lasted as long as he did...very sad nonetheless...

I thought this was about motor oil and was wondering what ever happened to Andy Granatelli.

This one hit me hard last night. Loved all their records and my band in college used to always cover their songs. One good thing about music and art is it lasts after folks are gone. God lets the light out live the star.

I saw an article earlier this week about Weiland saying he HATED ISIS. His exact words were "F-k ISIS". Really have to wonder if this was a murder.

I don't know, he was a heavy drug user for a time, and his brother died from heart related issues in his 40's too, so may be a connection.

Apparently they found cocaine in his room. No real surprise there.

I'm surprised I didn't see this thread last week when it was created. Stone Temple Pilots was the first concert that I attended by choice (My parents forced me to go to a Neil Diamond concert a few years prior) in 6th grade in 1996. It was the tour for the Tiny Music...Songs From The Vatican Gift Shop album. I remember when the album was released listening to it over and over again for months. From the Intro to Seven Caged Tigers... I loved the entire album.

Speaking of concerts... Tonight I will set a personal record by passing U2 on my concerts attended list. I have seen U2 21 times live and tonight will be my 22nd time seeing The Foals (Who are my favorite band of all-time). They are huge in Europe and are just beginning to make it big here in the States. If you've never heard of them, definitely check them out.
