Gonna try something tonight....I'm going to play the following combo in races 3 through 10 at Saratoga for a 10 cent super. I am then going out to tie one on and hope to come back to a nice surprise. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!

1,3,4 / 2,5,7 / 1,3,4,6 / 2,4,5,7 = $6.60 per bet.

i knew a guy years ago that played number sequences at the greyhounds with trifecta's. but he only played one or 2 cold numbers per race. this guy went out to nevada and played them with the bookmakers in the casino's and won for 6 straight years until they stopped booking the dogs. he wasn't cheating them either, just square numbers and a progressive increase in bet system beat the bookmakers consistently. he always said it would be impossible to beat it betting into the pools.

While working in Vegas years ago, we had a guy at the Stardust who played 3 tri-boxes, 1-3-4, 2-5-7, 1-6-8 on a progressive scale like you mentioned. I don't recall the dog tracks he played them at, but the guy signed huge, time and time again......He died in 1988 and was a very happy, kind and generous person. Whether he was profitable or not, he was a winner in my book.

this guy used to go to the Stardust as well.

speaking of the Stardust, my old buddy was the casino host in that joint, Mel Golden. he was the biggest horse degenerate that i have ever met in my life. for me that was great because he was the greatest beard you could ever imagine when i needed him.

I once did an analysis of all races at Balmoral from about Sept 2010 thru Oct 2010. (about 250 races) Simply betting tri boxes of 1,5,8 yielded an ROI of 182%. And betting 1,5,8 exacta boxes yielded about 91% ROI. Not bad for doing nothing but betting numbers. I had noticed that these combos came in quite often and decided to chart them.

I gave the detailed analysis to my friend (who bets only to show, because he doesn't really know how to handicap; but sure knows how to drink, lol) and he started to win money by betting these ex/tri boxes. Some tracks have inside biases as well as center track biases(like Pompano had for a while with the 5 or 6 hole), so certain combos do occur much more often at certain tracks.

Slim pickings today. I played the sequence at Woodbine in all races. Minimum was 20 cents.

Makes a whole lot of sense...besides, who do you think hits those whopping 5 figure tris? I would say numbers players.

That might work if you bet all 250 races...

I used to do something like this for Yonkers. I would play my pick along with the inside posts. 1-4 etc. Hit some good exactas that way.

Just random right now. I want to see how things go without any handicapping influence.
