If 1A Flintshire, 13A New Bay, 9B Treve, and 17B Shahah are coupled this may go off at 1/5.

It's hard to think of an accomplishment greater than winning 3 Arcs in a row, let alone for a mare. If she can pull it off, maybe they should take down the Eiffel Tower and put up a statue of Treve.

Would be beyond believable, but she just might do it.

Just looked at Flintshire's win in the Sword Dancer. Pretty explosive move as they turned for home.

Apparently TVG is not showing it on TV or on their website?

This has to be a first.

also....HRTV appears to be carrying LOngchamp from 9A-12P EDT....
That's 6 in the morning to 9 am for those of you in LA LA land.....
http://www.hrtv.com/schedule/
TVG also has it listed on their website as well.
So it appears US viewers with access to the two horse racing nets will be able to see the Arc live.
I believe the link I provided from gallop France is for replays only...Tons of UK bookmakers have live feeds but those of us in the States are effed. Stupid puritanical gambling laws here.

That based on his last.

I see Flintshire at a much higher price than quoted earlier in the thread. Oddschecker has him at 22-1, behind Treve 5-4, New Bay 11-2, Golden Horn 6-1, Free Eagle 16-1 and Found 18-1.

It's weird that you have to bet the horses as an entry to win but as individual betting choices in the exotics. Last yr Treve would have paid $30 bucks , but because of the strange entry rules , she only paid $8 to win , while the $2 dollar exacta paid $438.

Just made my ARC bets with HAW. Tossed Horn because of post & focused on gimmicks highlighting Treve & New Bay with 6-7-13 & 18.

they're coupled because the same owner. In Race 2 the 4,5,6 owned by the same guy.

Have the At The Races feed.

Warning - you should have AdBlock enabled. You also should have AdBlock EasyList Filter w/o Element Hiding. Yeah I know a PITA but once its' set, its set.

I don't get. I'm used to the same number. The equibase form says win only, Twinspires has separate odds Flintshire is 15-1., New Bay 5-1. wtf? that ain't coupled.

It may only apply to bettors in France.

I think Golden Horn might come for the BC Turf - if the ground isn't soft.

That's the firmest turf I have seen for the Arc in some time.
It didn't suit Treve, and the winner relished it.
I believe the ground made the difference.

Bookmakers in the UK knew something. The wise guy UK money was on Golden Horn. had the Exacta, also had the whole top 5  but like a dummy did not make a trifecta bet. when I bet the tri some 45-1 shot always messes it up for me over there.

Katerine Ford.
Usually works for French racing channel Equidia. You will probably see her at the Breeders Cup doing the French TV coverage.
She is a pleasure to listen to. Really knows her stuff.

Here's her twitter feed.... https://twitter.com/kfordequidia

I watched the replay.
Here are the splits from the Gallop France video
1400m (7f plus 8m or 25 feet) 1:28.78
1800m (9f +10m 32 feet)..........1:52.97
2000m (10f +38.6 ft) 2:04.82
2200m ( 11f +41 feet) 2:15.58
Fin 2400m( 12f +45 feet) 2:27.23
Using the markers on the inside of the course I guessed a mile in about 1:40..
Those fractions were not fast at all.
The sprint home was fast with a last 400m ( 2f plus 12 feet)
22.35 seconds. last 3f in a snappy 34.27.....
IMO, Flintshire was in a perfect position to win.....He just flat out was outsprinted.....
I want to see Flintshire in the BC Turf....If I can get 3-1, I'm firing at the pot.

I think Flintshire, if he comes out of today's race well, is likely for BC Turf.
He's a warrior, likes US style turf tracks, and ships well.
He will be less than a 2-1 favorite, unless Golden Horn shows up.

The discussion on 2 British blogs, was speculation why the British oddsmakers were selling Treve at odds higher than 3-5. They were listing 6-5 to 3-1. The blogs were dated Saturday. My comment referred to that.
