Nyquist may have distance limitations but Songbird like her dad has cruising speed.Should be a fun breeders cup.East coast 2 year olds have a long way to go.

Are horses made Breeders' Cup eligible only through their breeders? Can a new owner pick up a horse at auction & then make them eligible after the sale & still for a relatively low amount? Was shocked to find out a filly with her breeding & sales price was not made BC eligible yet, was wondering what could've been behind this other than a breeder just looking to save a few bucks, but imagine he gets left out from breeder rewards of any BC earnings she has?
