What a difference a year makes. Last year, the track as the Del Co Fairgrounds had a lot of cushion to it for Tue and Wed only to see them scrap the track pretty much removing most of the cushion for Thurs. Resulted in closers ruling most of the races and making for a fairly even biased track for the Jug.
No so this year. Hardly any cushion with respect to what they had last year and including Jug Day. Front end speed should carry all day today. Depending upon the amount of material added before tomorrow, I can see the next two days having a super fast track. Handicap accordingly.
I have to assume that they are shooting for a world record for the Jug. Don't know what the record is but has to be about 1:49 and a piece. Do believe we can see a 1:48 and change this year.
