Anyone know why Distant Thoughts in the 4th got a blinker change off a lifetime top Beyer? And of course the horse didnt appreciate the change and was all over the shop turning for home (and even looked like his jock was passing something to another rider entering the lane, very odd)

Also, what was with the guy riding the 2 horse in the 5th, he appeared to specifically be riding to hinder the 3, was in his way early in the race and even was throwing the lines on the backstretch on this no hoper so that the 3 wouldn't get around him, another bizarre ride on a horse who should have just stayed out of the way.

The hood probably went on Distant Thoughts because he really, really hung in his last race.
He should of won his last race by a bunch, but he got very goofy when sensing/viewing(?) the horse he should of passed.
Hernandez purposely kept DT away from the front horse in his last, probably a sign that DT is a bad actor.
Throw in in the shadow roll DT wears and you get the idea this dude is quirky to say the least.
The second part of your question: The jocks got their whips all tangled up,hence the strange look in the lane.

Where was the guy on the 6 going in such a hurry in today's first race? What kind of ride was that?

That's how Seven Storms runs, but I was surprised to see the jock on the :2: pull a 'frosted' and go from the gate, knowing Seven Storms was in the race.

2 was dropping off a claim and a layoff and had a jock that I'm not familiar w/ up (exercise rider maybe?). Red flags galore, but the 2 decided to go for the gusto and out-duel Seven Storms...

makes sense

6 was supposed to go out clear, falter and be passed late by the 2,3,or4. 6 actually ran a lot better than I expected today considering the ride on the 2.

Don't look at the clock, watch the REPLAY lol

If a mile is going in 143, 23 flat is much too fast, the guy saw the 2 establish the lead and he burned up his horse trying to clear. No reason to do that.

race 4
I don't see any great value against the public
chalk
Jacobson has been going good, and the pace on paper kind of sets up for his :8: Mr Masterpiece

:7: March Too is another closer who hopes to get that nice sweeping wide run

longshots:
:9:castillo could adapt and have something left late

:4: I like Vilanueva the jock of the 4, even though he's clearly a journeyman at this point. Fan support from me

edit I really whiffed:D the pace scenario there, i don't think anyone passed anyone in the stretch

Can someone break that last race down for me? these are the kind of races that puzzle me.. so half the field just decided to take the day off and not run today.. guess i have to watch the replay 36 times on this race now.. only thing i know for sure is the horse i bet stumbled at the start but what about the rest?

pace held together

No one upfront really dueled or tired and no one got to close late.

The 2 and the 8 both could be interesting going forward. I want to see if they got claimed and what kind of class they show up in. Both took a lot of money today and were well-meant.
