U know the winners laff and the losers say Shut up and Deal.
It seems as if there was a Steam Horse at Calder today ..9th
race 2 year old maidens. * Sometimes the info is good. *
This horse was hammered from all over the world :)
was 15 to 1 in the Morning line...bet down to .. .. ..
3 to 1 ! But it wasnt easy. Had me on the edge of the chair as
they came down the stretch....Here is the call ...drinks on the
house :) ....
THE GREAT FIZZ chased the pace, eased out in the stretch and rallied to catch FAST FLIGHT inside the sixteenth pole, then was fully extended to last over HEAVENLY GOLD. " Fully Extended "
and the steam was as well ..... I have no idea who Omar
Klinger is .. ( the jockey ) Wtg Omar !

Last ran 5/15/04 in a 4.5 furlong MSW at Calder. Klinger was on him that day as well, when he went off at 63-1 odds. He had the highest figure (excluding 2 & 3f events) of the horses that have run. Going MSW to M16000 claimer and having the highest number makes him a legit contender IMHO. The only risky elements of this race were that (1) it was for 2yo and (2) there were 5 first timers. I think that this was less a product of steam than it was the linemaker messing up. If only he had gone off at 10-1!

| didn't know where the Corporal had gotten to, but he was a quality rider on the Maryland circuit for years. Nothing spectacular, but I had no problem with him riding any horse I was betting.

Can somebody interpret this thread for me?

Are we celebrating something in here? What the hell is this ?

Just wondering...................
