A lot is being made of Victor's post race comments But Romans' statements before and after the race were classless IMO.

For a reference, what did he say and do you have links. I didn't watch only but the race in a replay. What did Dale say that was classless?

I saw Dale's pre-race comments on NBC and I don't recall any classless statements...

He said something along the lines of he's upset there was an attendance cap so there could be more people to Boo him for beating AP. Enjoy your win... And show a little respect for your competition.

I would have taken that as a joke....

That was just some giddy humor, after winning a race even Dale didn't really think he would win. Remember 'Chrome's owner after the Belmont? Now that was classless.

It was a joke. He was just having some fun, showing confidence in his horse. Romans is Baffert's biggest fan.

To take that as some kind of disrespectful slight is the height of oversensitive.

he thanked the Zayats from the winners circle, thanked Baffert/Zayat again at the press conference post race for Pharoah's connections. i watched it on youtube this morning. To walk up to Baffert/Zayat after there own press conference and shake their hands to thank them for bringing Pharoah to SAR speaks volumes about this man. It wasn't behind the scenes either, it was right on the podium.

I think that is great. He won the race. He doesn't owe any AP fans anything.

This is horse racing, not the Olympics. Romans, or anybody else for that matter, was playing second fiddle to AP, and he took the day, and the win, all in stride. Kudos to the winning connections, imo.

Romans said after the race that this in no way tarnishes APs great 2015. The great ones all lose, and a great one lost today.

Deplorable. OP made it sound like he cursed during a wedding toast.
