The Juddmonte Stakes at York - 1040am ET - most US ADWs will show it.

John Gosden's undefeated Epsom Derby winner Golden Horn
goes against top miler, Aidan O'Brien's Gleneagles

Eight runners go to post - should be a great race

It was in this race at York, back in 1972, that I saw probably
the best tactical ride by a jockey that I've ever seen.

The race was then called the Benson and Hedges Gold Cup.
Braulio Baeza was flown over from NY to ride Roberto against
the brilliant, and undefeated, Brigadier Gerard.
The rest is history.

The whole fascinating story (plus video) is recounted here:

H4C, found this one for you. It's Jamie Lynch's preview on the Juddmonte International for Timeform. He, of course, is never short on opinion or detail.

...back to my local races, here, in upstate NY. I'll read your posted story later. ;)

Looks like UK Timeform has a free summary download on here for York.
Here's a list of the Juddmonte runners:

I can't bring it up from here, now, either.

The link is on TimeformUS' twitter page. I was just able to still bring it up from there. Hopefully it will continue to work. ;)

Gleneagles is out due to the soft ground. Disappointing we don't get to see these two face off.

Shock result, for sure.
3yo filly gets it done against the boys.

Ironic you would post this with an undefeated horse getting upset in the 2015 edition.

I love tempting fate.

The Brigadier had won 10 more races than Golden Horn.
Hard to compare the two.

I am so glad to see Golden Horn go down to a filly!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The world rankings had him rated 2lbs higher the an American Triple Crown
winner. What a complete joke.

I don't deny at all that a Grade 3 turf horse in Europe is a Grade 1 horse
here on turf.

But rated over a TC winner is just arrogance and stupidity at its best.

Bring "Horn" over for the Classic and AP will pound him by an 1/8 of a mile.
