Confused on speed ratings

Is Beyers and Bris rating speed ratings or are they speed figures? Since Beyers call his speed rating so that is what I continue to except them as. Lets define terms so we are all on the same page.:confused:

Beyers are called speed figures, always have been, haven't they? That's their official name. Beyer Speed Figure. Whereas the DRF number (time compared to track record) has been called a speed rating.
