As I said yesterday, these low claimers on dirt are like lottery. I Liked the second (used in my exacta) but the winner............. no way!!!!

7 looked like a sharp claim and run-back. I totally missed that one. She ran up against a pace the first time for Brad Cox, and now with Ortiz got a better trip but may have been best here today.

4 - only threw him in because she was a lukewarm favorite vs. my 1a last time. Saez knew exactly what he had and capitalized when the field came up to the leaders. Luis Saez is having a strong meet even if his numbers aren't eye-popping.

:5: looks logical, also very beatable in the stretch. These are known commodities and the public is all over them. Was 2-1 when I went i started looking at her my be 8/5 or so by post time.

feels like race 5... Chad Brown is getting bet for his reputation. His :8: may well win, but figures to be bet down pretty low (already 7/5 as I type this...). Even if I loved the 8 here I'm merely keeping pace w/ the public.

Safe to say the pink saddle towel runner will win this one. ;)


//additional - the :2: is mildly interesting here. 27-1 on the board, and we honestly don't know anything about the horse after her debut 2 weeks ago. Brown has relatively good numbers 2nd career race. If you liked the 8, I could see doing some 10cent superfectas with the 8 keyed 1st and 2nd and the 2 keyed 3rd and 4th.

Silverpocketsfull is a depressed filly, too much running placed over her head in graded stakes company while ythe winner is a horse in top form. Conclusion: I can be veryyy silly!

:1: PSYCHIATRY 9-2 stalked a blistering pace (21.3 > 44.3 > 1.08) and won over 7f. There is no reason to think this progressive filly won't stretch out for another furlong after a projected slow pace. Her mother won her debut by 10 lenghts, and followed with a first level allowance by 3. She could emulate her here.

:11: TIZ FOR DADDY gets a huge drop in class and his debut race was good. :2: Alaapatique 8-1 drops, moves to dirt, gest a 5 pounds allowance and can make noise with a clean break for a red hot trainer.
