Third-year New York Jets quarterback Geno Smith will be out for 6-10 weeks after sustaining a dislocated jaw requiring surgery as a result of being punched by Jets linebacker Ikemefuna Enemkpali during a locker-room altercation that was apparently totally unrelated to football, and that Jets coach Todd Bowles characterized as "very childish".

Bowles is a clown he won't make it thru the season, this happened on his watch. Rex laughed.

The mistake here was drafting this nut in the first place. He got into trouble for fighting in college. As a Jets fan, I was pretty ticked off about this nonsense.

According to the article at the link, the dispute that sparked the punch was over $600 that Enemkpali claimed that Geno Smith had allegedly promised to pay him as reimbursement for the price of a plane ticket that Enemkpali had purchased for Smith, so that Smith could be present at a football camp at Pflugerville (Texas) High School (just outside of Austin), which Enemkpali had attended before playing college football at Louisiana Tech. (Smith had subsequently backed out of his participation in the camp due to the death of a friend in a motorcycle accident in Miami.)

Rex and Bills should sign Enemkpali . . . for a $600 signing bonus

According to the link, Geno Smith's behavior toward Enemkpali might have contributed to the incident.
