Before my time

This could be taken as insulting, if any of us were sensitive

6. Assiniboia Downs is a dual-purpose racetrack for thoroughbred and harness racing...T or F?
Sure

7. At Saratoga Harness Raceway, the horses will soon be racing over a 5/8 mile track...T or F?
I was there once. And it was 1/2. So I can't say

8. Arizona has never had a harness track...T or F?
Too friggin hot anyway.

9. Hollywood Park used to conduct harness races at one time...T or F?
Absolutely true. (I think JC raced there a lot)

10. In the province of Quebec, they only conduct harness racing at their racetracks...T or F?

Inside the Pylons:

2. Cal Expo is the only American track WEST of Minnesota to conduct harness racing...T or F?

#1 Georgian Downs is further north than RC. Both are actually nice tracks. Georgian is spanking new and RC had a decent facelift.

--Let's see how sharp someone else is, and try to better Inside the Pylons score.

7. True , Saratoga has been a half mile track for years. I visited last August and they were already tearing up the Grandstand to turn it in to a Racino. The track will be a 5/8 mile track this year.

I want to know which one I got wrong. I only answered the ones I know for sure.

I have spent time in Regina Beach. The track in the Queen city is not solo for Sask.

They have raced harness in Arizona.......My friend has a win picture with his dad winning the race.

Trotters are slower than pacers.

Holly Park has conducted many harness races that I have attended.

They have raced harness (maybe not presently) at AsD. I have heard many stories about racing in the freezing winds there.

As for the others...

1. False

2. Tricky question with some technicalities, but the correct answer is False.

3. already answered- False

4. True

5. already answered- True

6. already answered- True

7. True...just a guess

8. already answered- False

9. already answered- True

10. True...never heard of TB but might be wrong

Inside The Pylons,

--Very good. On your last installment here, you have guessed 8 out of the 10 questions correctly.

--Since you did so well, I might as well reveal the small number you guessed incorrectly. Those were QUESTIONS 1 AND 6.

--Re QUESTION 1, Rideau Carleton is a 5/8 mile harness track, that is more northerly in latitude than the 5/8 mile harness track at Georgian Downs. Both tracks are located in Ontario.

--I meant QUESTION 6 to be pertaining to present day racing schedules. It is true that they had harness racing at Assiniboia Downs many years ago, but not now.

--QUESTION 2 was a tricky one. Cal Expo is not the only American
track west of Minnesota to conduct harness racing. The other one is North Dakota Horse Park, which is a dual-purpose racetrack located in Fargo, North Dakota.

--Re QUESTION 3, some people may not be aware, but Queensbury Downs in Regina, Saskatchewan, does not conduct harness racing anymore. You'll probably see the harness horses racing at Craven, Saskatchewan instead.
